how to change glow plugs on a 1994 rover metro?

I've taken my car into the garage because it wouldn't start and the battery was brand new so we knew it wasn't that, they said I need to replace the glow plugs and that it will cost me £258 (originally they quoted me £80 for changing them), which I feel may be too much money for what it is, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to change them myself? Please email me on hs04avp@brunel.ac.uk asap! Many many thanks for any help anyone can give me

They simply unscrew like a spark plug only smaller.
i have not done it on a metro but may be 3 or 4 plugs.
Spray with WD40 first even the day before as they can be tight.
use a ring spanner or socket if possible as you dont want to round them off. They will also have a small wire bolted to the end of each so take that off first. I test mine on a battery charger to see if they glow. Should only cost £25 ish for four.
