The pull cord came out when I went to start the mower. How do I put it back in. Do I have to take the mower apart or can it be inserted from the outside.

My dog ate my pull cord - I went to a local hardware store and got the string (cheap). (Maybe a nice salesman will also tell you how to do it). You have to take it apart - but remember how you did it and were the screws came from. It wasn;t so bad. But be careful of the gas spilling out. If you can empty it into a clean bucket for use later. gas is expensive.

The knot probably came undone.
