The ABS warning light is on permenently in my wife's Ford Galaxy 2.3 Ghia?

What are the likely causes of this problem and what do I need to check to diagnose the faulty part.
Many thanks,
Ian.

Cheers DAve. I've done what you sugested, none of the wires were worn and the warning light is still on. Any ideas?

Take the wheels off and check the ABS sensors for wire damage. Had the same on mine one of them had rubbed against the coil spring and worn through, I cut out the old wire and soldered a new one in place then heat shrunk the repair been fine ever since.
