Miele Novotronic T640 Dryer. Won't heat blows ambient air temperature?

I inherited a Miele Novotronic T640 tumbler dryer. I read all the moisture reading tech etc. but dryer won't heat and takes hours to dry. I don't have a user's manual. Can anyone tell me if experienced anything similar and how to remediate problem?
