vauxhall vectra gls 2.0l s reg in need of some bits and bobs done???

i recently tried to change the dipped headlights on my vauxhall and gave up rather quickly due to the fact those buggers are a nightmare to get into with a normal set of hands, never mind a big set!!!!is there an easy way of doing this or will i have to break my fingers top do it????also..........lately the car has been revving quite high when i stop sometimes its normal at about 1000revs then it will shoot up to 1750-2000 revs and stick there and sometimes when i stop it cuts out and the engine management light comes on,but you turn it off then fire it up straight away and its gone??????please help me??

try cleaning out the air idle valve, i had the same problem on a 98 vectra, i did the same thing amd it cured it, if not it might be a case of replacing the cam and crank sensors
