what is a drag link and how do you get it off for a vauxhall frontera 4x4 1990
tommo, April 2007
The drag link is a steel tube linking your steering box to one of the wheels. It is called the drag link because it 'drags' the wheel in the direction steered. The two wheels are themselves linked together by the Track Control Rod (or track rod). To remove a drag link, undo it at the Steering Box Drop Arm and the ball joint at the other end. Not sure what you intend to do with it once you have it off however but I suggest that you buy a Haynes manual for your car.
