water in the passenger side seatwell after rainfall?

How can I find, then fix where rainfall is entering my Renault Megane (10 yrs old, 5 door, 1.4). The water is not dripping down anywhere from above, and I notice it most when it has been parked and rained heavily overnight. It only affects the nearside rear and front seat wells. The water can be upto a couple of centimetres. Help!

leaves have entered the scuttle panel between windscreen and bonnet .
a build up will cause this, if you pop the bonnet and look behind the battery ( if its situated close to the area ) you will find junk blocking the water from draining

Hi,
If your Megane has a sun roof it could be the drain pipe. It happened to a friend of mine. The sun roof appears to drain correctly but instead of going outside, the water was running down into the car. The only other time I had such flooding was when I owned a MK3 escort. The water would come in the rear light clusters and flow across the boot into the rear footwell. I cured that by sealing the clusters with silicoset.
