how do i repair the in car heater in a ford puma?

my heater is only blowing out cold air, need to know how to repair it please. don,t wanna get fleeced by a garage!!!!

need a new heater valve, it lives behind the bulkhead under the bonnet and costs around 40 quid trade.
very common on fiesta/ka also.
