I have just moved into a property with no manuel for my intergrated schreiber fridge freezer model 20025001554 class N 58HZ. The fridge works fine but the freezer light flashes and beeps and defrosts itself. I turn it back on by pressing the button which lights up the orange light but after a day or two it defrosts itself again. Am i doing something wrong? Can this problem be easily fixed? Help!

Ive been stressing about this for days. My freezer didnt come back on after defrosting so I did as PETE said and took the light panel off, put it back on and hey presto it works. Who said women cant do DIY? :)

My under counter schreiber freezer does not freeze. The motor hums and runs cool, I replaced the control gear except the thermostat. All the lights work. How can I test to check if its a faulty thermostat switch? How can I test to check if it has gas?

I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, FREEZER HAS BEEN OUT OF ACTION FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, I REMOVED THE FRONT RECTANGULAR LIGHT PLATE AND JUST PUSHED IT BACK ON AGAIN, FREEZER FIRED UP STRAIGHT AWAY, MUST BE A DODGY CONNECTION OR A FAULTY THERMOSTAT, SEEMS TO BE OK AT THE MOMENT.
