My maytag dryer has no heat!?

My maytag dryer runs, but is not producing any heat. Are there fuses or something that need to be changed, or do I need to replace the element? It's a fairly new dryer, and last week my laundry room flooded, so might it have shorted out?

go behind the dryer, where the heating elements are located. turn the dryer on and feel for heat, if there is heat, turn off the dryer and unplug. with a screwdriver, remove the cover and you will see alot of lent everywhere, vaccume all of the lent from the coils area and clean out the dryer vent, going to the outside of the house. put cover back in place and restart your dryer, its worked several times for me. now i do this about every two months, just to be safe from fire hazards
