How can I fix my Sears Craftsman LT 1000 Riding Lawnmower?

Last Summer, my Sears Craftsman LT 1000 Riding Lawnmower wouldn't crank properly. It would just click when turning the key. I could spin the flywheel a couple of turns by hand and then it would start.

Now, it won't do anything even when I spin the flywheel. I took the battery and had it checked out and it is fine. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. Adjusted the valves and it started right up. There is a video on utube showing how to do it. Its not hard.

I had the same problem and it was the small sitch that tells it that the blade is ingaged....so first old down the blade ingager while turning key ...you nad get someone to manually push with a screwdriver its behind the front cover on the bottom of the lever. It gets pushed down with wear and needs adjustment ot repair.
Good luck

Had the same problem. Recharge or replace the battery.
