Worcester 24i pressure dropped to zero?

Hi

I "bled" my radiators thinking I was doing a good thing. However afterwards I noticed that I was not getting any hot water through my tap. I looked at the boiler and noticed that the black dial on the pressure gauge was stuck at zero (whereas I think it is supposed to be between 1 and 2).

The last time a heating engineer was out at my flat I think he told me to turn a particular screw a quarter turn to fill the heater again. However, I tried this and nothing happened.

There is also a flexible hose hanging down with a white kind of plug on the end with a screw indent but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the pressure.

Anyway, any help advice would be brilliant - my flat's cold!

Cheers

make sure hose is connected to pipework at mains supply
and at the boiler end, turn slot on supply valve to top up boiler pressure to 1 - 1.2 bar max and then close it again. if more rads need bleeding you will have to repeat procedure

there may be one at each end of the braided pipe

Thanks very much for your help!

I'm clearly doing something wwrong as I've tried turning the screw but it does not make the black dial move at all!

Hot water comes through my kitchen tap now since I hit the resit button but still have this pressue problem. Maybe I need to get a heating engineer out.

I'll have another look at it tomorrow to see if the daylight will help me at all!

Thanks again

you need the braided pipe under boiler open the valve and fill system then shut valve again, now you'll have to bleed the rads gins as you will have let air in. bleed one at a time and keep checking gauge does not go below 1bar when all system bleed top pressure up to 1.5 bar max and boiler will work. worcester 24i doesn't need pressure above 1.5 bar maxnot 2 bar.

Thanks John

When you say a small tap . . . is this the screw I've been turning with my screwdriver quarter turns?

Hi Turn the small tap next ti the hose on the boiler until the bar reaches 2bars on the pressure clock. You may also need to check the reset button, this is a small red button that is located on the top left hand side of the boiler.

Good luck
