How can I make my utility trailer ride smoother?

My 4' x 8' utility trailer bounces so much that it breaks almost everything I put into it except for heavy loads, then it rides smooth. Should I replace the 3 leaf springs with 2 leaf springs for a smoother ride. Is there anything else I could do?

Lower your tyre pressure for lighter loads Sir.

Increase your tyre pressure for heavier loads.

Tyre is part of your suspension.

The first thing i would check is particularly if it is twin axle, check the trailer is riding level, to do this hook up the trailer and park on level ground, ensure the height at the cack of the trailer is the same as the front, if it si different look at altering the height of the car tow bar by using a spacer. If this does not work putting 2 leaf springs on instead of 3 will make the trailer better for light loads altough it will make it unsuitable for heavy loads as yo will simply destroy the springs.
