boiler shut off due to lack of fuel lockout switch has come on will it go off automatically when i fill up the tank or will i have to reset it.

Remove the appliance front cover and depress the lockout reset button on the burner. if the fuel is allowed to run dry then the boiler might not be abled to be reset this way after lockout as the will be a air block in the system. Will advise to call out a engineer to release the air and reset the system.
