grinding from steering when turning. Mondeo Ghia MK11 (W reg)?
I have a grinding noise on my Mondeo Ghia MK11 (W reg) that appears to come from the suspension strut. Only happens when turning the steering wheel. I suspect it may be the top thrust bearing. What do you think? Any help would be apreciated. Many thanks.
I also have a noise from the O/S/F/ when cornering right. It sounds like the disc touching the disc cover. Problem is there is no disc cover. Any help on this one would also be very aoreciated. Thanks again. Derek
First check your power steering fluid, and if that ok then it's quite possible your coil spring may be cracked. In order to check that, turn your wheels inward, and inspect that spring.
