Water still in the drum after wash whirlpool AWM5145?

Hello i have had a whirlpool AWM5145 washing machine for 2 and half years. With no problems untill now!after a wash i get water left in the drum which has not been pumped out! trouble with that is that is smells after a few days and when i do the washing again the first ten minutes smell like a rotten egg! i have had all the waste pipes and u bend checked and have no blockages, also i have had a engineer out and he replaced the pump, but even when that wash replaced there was still water in the drum! i know that the pump wont get rid of all the water but we are talking more than 3 coffee cups full in the drum! i need help and back up and proof that this is the machine and stop keep being fobbed of by the comet engineer. b17pilot@hotmail.co.uk.
