How can I fix the Antipollution fault on my 2002 Peugeot 307 1.6L (gas)?

I have a 2002 1.6l Peugeot 307 hatch and the Antipollution fault message has come up on the dash and I am not sure to resolve this.

Other posts on other sites have suggested maybe adding an injector cleaner and running the car hard for a while.

Please advise..sheldonq@ngc.co.tt

Ive had my 2002 307 for 3 years and had plenty of Antipollution eppisodes. Firstly the CAT which was replaced and the slugish performence was cured. A year later, the famous 307 dreaded missfire starts, 5miles down the road from start up in the morning. I had a coil pack fitted which it cured, but the Peugeot Guy said it could or next be the injectors.
Well ive had the Anti-Polluntion light on for months now and no problems even when i get it switch off it returns but no problems.

Untill today the missfire has started, RAC cant find the missfire now the car has been stood, but said it could be your coil, i told him ive had a coil a year ago, so im back to square one, only guessing its injectors but the cars is ok at the moment but dont want to drive it anywhere just incase.

Hi, just for information purposes, my '04 1.6 petrol 307sw had the same "Antipollution Fault" code come up. It turned out to be the throttle actuator getting stuck at some point and sending the error code. Can be reset by independant mechanic with the right equipment. Cheaply!!!

Somebody says the problem could be to do with the type of fuel you are using, in my view whether it's shell V Power or TOTAL whatever that problem will continue. How possible that other types of cars are using the so called bad fuel and are not giving any problems? Ultimate solution is to sell that car (cheaply), buy another type. That's what I did.

Antipollution fault on Peugeot 307 ... I had the same problem , I was worried what can be wrong and if it would damage the engine of the car , but after searching the answer I come with resolution , that the cheapest way how to fix it is to go to SHELL petrol pum station , take full Shell V power and just drive, after 2 weeks of anoying antipollution fault [because of TOTAL petrol ] I`ve sorted my problem once for ever ..Most of the time it is just because of rubbish petrol, so before U go to dealer or any other garage , try to tank V POWER and drive, on 99 percent it will help and save a lot of money ... Any other questions about 307 , just write me on q.dechicony@azet.sk ... I`ll help if I can ..

Went to the technician again yesterday for this recurring problem and this time around there is a misfire with one of the ignition plugs. ra ra ra it never ends with cars.. :) but to be honest i do like the car alot.

Our problems (UK) related to too much silicon in the fuel - cost £800 to rectify with Tesco picking up the bill, although I think that many 'cheaper' brands of fuel may cause this particular problem. Had to have one of the sensors replaced.
