Is my Vauxhall Power Steering OK?

I have recently bought a Vauxhall Astra and have found that the steering is a little unusual.

If I turn the wheel left there's little to no resistance, however when I turn right there is a reasonable amount of resistance.

Is this a major problem to resolve?

Hi,

This is usually a sign that the steering column might need replacing, I'd get it checked out.
