WHY HAVE MY INDICATORS STOPPED MAKING A NOISE??

I have a 53 plate 206 which had developed a couple of minor electrical faults.... Firstly the indicators have stopped making a noise ( inc hazards) but still flash as normal. A friend thinks it could be a small relay box but where is it??? And the second fault is that neither of the reverse lights work... bulbs and fuses are ok unless there is a hidden fuse somewhere and how would i get to the switch for the lights from the gear box??

with both problems occuring it might be an electrical problem. I have a 98 ford ranger and my right blinker and high beams do not work. I was told that it might be the switch in my steering wheel, that might need replacing in your vehicle as well, a little pricey
