How to fix washing machine Fisher & Paykel MW512 is not draining water motor hums then stops.

When my pump just hummed and didn't drain. I pulled the pump out and found a lot of gunk in the top of it that was preventing it from spinning. When i removed the gunk a replaced the pump, it all worked fine.
