White Knight - Heating Element Gone?

I have a White Knight CL421 Tumble Dryer - its stopped heating up

I have stripped it down, the thermostats are all closed circuit (I assume thats fine)

BUT, the heating elements are both Open-Circuit! I say BOTH because there are 2 hoops .... I assume one heats up for low heat and both for high heat?

My continuity tester bleeper is 9Volt - I assume this would show-up a faulty element? AND why would BOTH go?

Anyone replaced a double ring element - is it easy?

Thanks!

I have just replaced the heating element In a CL421 and it was very straight forward but I do have a small problem when I reconnected all the wires I am left with 2 that I am unsure where they go.......the two wires connect to a round sensor on the back plate but I am unsure where they plug into ????

Have you made sure the red overheat button on the back has not popped out, push it in to reset it.

The two elements can go at the same time. If the continuity tester says that they are both OC then it would not surprise me, my wife is an expert in getting them to do this. Often you do not notice that the first one has popped anyway.

Many of the cheaper tumble dryers are made by Crosslee in Halifax, if you look at the back of many dryers you will see that they all look the same.

I have similar problem - just been told by a parts shop that classic sign of element gone is that they become slightly inflated along part of the ring (like when you start to inflate a long balloon - both of mine show this sign - replacement should be v straightforward
