How do i remove oil pump for chain from dolmar chainsaw?

I have a Dolmar saw and the oil pump pickup tube leaks at the oil tank. I have disassembled saw as far as possible but cannot get the clutch and brake assembly off to gain access to oil pump.It appears that the assembly is threaded onto crankshaft but unsure if a special tool is needed to remove assembly.

You need two special tools. One is a dense stick of wood. Beech would do, and dry. Or something else not soft and prone to splitting. The other is a hammer. When you have the brake exposed. wind it round so one bit of the brake is about horizontal, and in a position so you can put the stick on the right hand side. (It's a LH thread!!!!) Make sure the engine is switched off. Then belt the stick to rotate the brake. You may need several tries. DON'T BE TEMPTED TO USE A METAL ROD INSTEAD OF A STICK.

If you don't understand what is being attempted here, don't try it, get someone who knows to show you. It's cheaper that way.
