corsa swop dash with rev counter???

anyone out there know why did i put a dash clock in (with a rev counter)my corsa combo van(hasnt got a rev counter in mine)the rev counter doesnt work noremally??my are elect type not cable,so should plug it strangle in???anyone help help???
