how do i tighten the chain?

i have a homelite xl 10" chainsaw. how do I tighten the chain?
James, April 2007
Loosen the bar nuts that hold the bar in place, and their is a small screw next to the bar on the front of the saw turn it clockwise to tighten. Do not over tighten use your fingers to lift up on the chain to see how much play you have in it, there should be about a 3/8 of a inch between the chain and the bar. Before tightening the bar down lift up on the bar and hold in place then tighten bar.
