Check your local free-ads paper for a dents-away type company, since they normally do fabric/dash repairs also. We get this problem all of the time when lease vehciles are returned, and the repairs are invariably completely invisible.
Before they were around, I used to make careful stitches over the hole with a piece of doubled up matching cotton - results vary on size, material and pattern. Won't pass close inspection, best results are if you can get under the cover and tape from behind, lot of work though.
