Does a Vauxhall Tigra Boot Close mean the window opens?

When I close my newly bought T Reg Tigra's boot, the side window opens and closes automatically . I went back to the dealer who says this is normal to avoid a rush of compressed air inside the car. I do not have a handbook. Is this true?

hi there, yes thats completely normal and true, its to stop your ears popping from the vaccum in the car. every tigra 1997> does it :)

No idea if it's true what Vauxhall are telling you but mine does the same although it only seems to happen if the key is in the ignition. If the key isn't in the ignition it doesn't happen!
