Hi,
The easiest way to check if fuel is getting to the engine is to disconnect the fuel supply line where it enters the engine. stick the end of the hose into a clear squash bottle and turn the engine over. If fuel comes out the hose you are at least getting fuel that far, so your filter and pump are ok. Beware of splashing fuel around the engine bay though, fire risk and all that!
