how do i repair the boot button on my renault megane it as poped out
simon clements, April 2007
what do i do if the inside (where the button fits in) is snapped do i get a whole new part?

mandy, March 2009
Take the button to a DIY shop, find a locknut and washer to fit the long plactic part on the back. Place the washer on the long plastic part then screw on the locknut. this will last forever and will not perish like another rubber o-ring will.

Where do you get a new "o" ring from ?

NVB, September 2008
And what if you no longer have the button?

coco, July 2008
Hi,
If you buy a new assembly it is over £50. Remove the lock assembly from the boot and you will find that a little rubber "o" ring is missing. You can put a new one on and re-assemble the lock, job done. That is if you still have the button!
Cheers now
