I have a PEUGEOT vivicity 50 cc scooter no spark?

Hi i wonder if you can help me, here is my problem. I have a peugeot vivicity 50 cc scooter with the imobalizer. I have the master red key for the ignition. When i purchased the bike the old owner told me that it worked one day then nothing the next. He kept it for a year before deciding to sell it to me. When i recieved the scooter the battery was totally dead and upon examination totally dry , so i purchased a new one. since fitting the battery the indicators work the horn works the engine starter works as in turns over but No Spark.
When i turn the bike on the red light (imobalizer light) comes on for about 2 seconds then goes off and flashes twice which shows there has been 2 keys at one time. I have replaced the ht lead with no joy and also tried another spark plug still no joy. Do you have any ideas of the problem and how to fix it. The bike has been topped up with fuel and oil just no spark Thankyou

yes sounds like imoberlizer;cheapest i could find:£115.115p: i have same problem by the way?see when turn ignition on if L.E.D. keeps flashing or if single flash and then stays off ! if single flash and stays off its not imobalizer!but try several times to make sure!!!

Maybe i was not clear enough in my question my question states "the engine starter works as in turns over but No Spark" the only way i know of checking if there is a spark is to take it out of the cylinder head and touch it to the metal of the head to give it a earth then to press the starter button. if anyone knows of any way to see if there is a spark while the spark plug is still in the engine i'd like to hear it. anyway there is no spark whatsoever which now leads my to belive its the igniter side of the CDI unit ouch. why could it not have been a faulty spark plug. cost of a new CDI £168 for a peugeot dealer although i am awaiting a delivery of a £9.99 unrestricted one from Ebay without the imobaliser. i'll keep you posted

take your spark plug out. leave the connection lead on and kick start it while lookin at the spark plug. if there is a spark. check your air cable. from ur petrol tank.
