My dishwasher and sink are full of water. The disposal works but when running the opposite side of the sink fills full of water. My dishwasher is also full of water and won't drain. What can I do? My dishwasher is a whirlpool.

the dishwasher is running except there is no water in the tub. i can hear it draining but it isnt coming into the dishwasher.when i put a pot of water in everything is good

Hi Becky,

There is probably a blockage in the U-Bend under the sink. You should be able to clear this without any tools. Just unscrew the 2 rings holding the U-bend on.
If there is no blocakge there then it is somewhere further down the pipe and you should be able to tell after removing the U-bend. (keep a bucket underneath when doing this).
