i have a triton Jade electric shower which was giving off a burning smell !.
Isolated the power & took off the front cover - there's a burnt wire ( haven't checked the diagram to see what it's connected to - looks like the wire coming in from the pull chord ).
mine did the same. just had an electrician in and I need 2 replace it. Its knackered.

Hey I had a Triton Jade shower and I had the same problem. For the last two months every time I turn in on after five minutes smells like burning, now it wont even switch on! God knows whats caused it.
