Can i use redex is my Peugeot Trekker ? ? ?

Ive just bought Redex petrol fuel system cleaner for my 50cc peugeot trekker offroad (air cooled) and would like to know if its actualy ok to use init, and that it would make a difference?

Any other info on additives would be really helpful, cheers

Richie Rich.

I agree with trev but just make sure you get the CARB red ex and not the FUEL INJECTION red ex (there are two)

Ignore Trippy, your bike is a 2 stroke and has no valves. Follow the instructions to add it to a nearly empty fuel tank. Be preapred to get pulled by the fuzz when clouds of blue/black smoke pour out until the redex has all been burnt off (which is meant to burn off the soot deposits in the engine as well).

redex is for engines that use leaded petrol as it is a lead repalcement additive if you use it on any engine built for unleaded it will clog up the valves and you will kill the engine but if the bike is a four star runner should do some good as the engine will use the lead to make a protective layer around the valves.
