How do I replace the door seal on my front loading washer?

I had to remove the door seal on my front loading washer to clean it because it was full of mold. Now I can't get it back on. This is a GE model # WSXH208T0WB. I am particularly having trouble with the round spring, called the spring-boot.

I have the same problem with the door seal. How do you deal with it? I just replace the seal without putting the spring back in.
