Craftsman Garden Tractor DGT6000 Model# 917275282?

I mow for awhile and the trasmission makes noise and tractor stops. After waiting awhile I can resume. Tractor has Hydroelectric auto-transmission. Does it require hydrolic fluid?
And how do I install fluid?
RAY SISEMORE, April 2007
Hi there, I saw your question posted back in May. did you consider re-purging the transmission with the hydro stat control and putting the rear drive in the "disengaged position" before doing so? It describes how to do this in the manual.

I have the exact same problem with my 2004 DGT 6000! Tractor has only 32 hours on it and it does this. Is there a reservoir where you can just add more hydraulic fluid? I lost my manual so I have no clue.

Sounds like it's overheating and needs fluid. Is there any indication of leaks? I haven't tried to add fluid. The manual on mine says the drive unit is sealed and should only be serviced by their facility.
