Featherlite? Orange juice? It could be worse. The top cover DOES snap off, with a screw driver or two, but they can be very stubborn. Don't go any further beyond this. It's not worth it. Don't bother disassembling the motor. Put back together what has already been taken apart. Clean the outside of the vac. the best you can. Let the vac. sit outside on a nice day, so it can dry out.
