i have a hoover HDV6UK wont heat up!?

I bought a new thermostat put it on still no heat! this thing is driving me crazy! any help at all?? all wiring looks normal still tumbling switches intact everything....also element looks fine no wires broken on coil....just no heat! help!! thanks Belinda.

i have a hdv6uk also. it has exactly the same problem.
the machine runs fine with no heat.
remove the back panel and you will find 2 thermal cut out switches. on mine, 1 of these has broken.
if you are electrically minded you could short out ( replace the switch with a piece of wire) each switch in turn to see if it solves your problem. remember this switch is there for a reason so this procedure should only be used to identify the problem.
you can then replace the faulty switch.

i am still trying to find a replacement switch. i have been told i need to replace the full heater for a cost of approx £35.
