How do we get the mains lead off the dysonDC04 ,the outer plastic covering is worn , exposing the wires, we need to replace the lead or repair it,help---- please.

simply force a small screwdriver down the flat edge of the green switch aprox 20mm deep apply preasure with the point of the screwdriver inwards(like a tyre lever) then the switch will pop out revieling all
