I have a 2.0l 16v mondeo si it appears to have an intermittent
starting problem. Have changed the starter motor have checked the earths and have cleaned the battery terminals.
AS WELL AS CLEANING YOUR TERMINALS, TRACE BACK ALONG YOUR EARTH CABLE IT WILL BE WIRED TO TO THE CAR BODY OR ENGINE BLOCK UNDO THIS BOLT AND CLEAN THE CONNECTOR WITH SAND PAPER.
THEY SOME TIMES GET COVERED WITH GREASE AND RESTRICT THE EARTH

The engine doesnt turn over. All electrical power is present i.e
radio on windows work etc. There is no click when turning the key.

more info needed louise! does the engine turn over, but not start? is everything completely dead when you turn the key. Is there a click, and then nothing?
