YOU HAVE TO HAVE CALLER ID THROUGH THE PHONE COMPANY FOR THE OPTION TO WORK. MINE SAID THE SAME THING UNTIL MY CALLER ID WAS ACTIVATED. THEN THE TIME AND DATE CAME UP ALSO ON THE SCREEN.
