How can I repair a small crack inside my Refrigerator?

I made a small crack inside my refrigerator. This crack is approximately 1 inch long and very narrow. I covered the crack with metal tape. Can I repair it with some sort of epoxy. I am not sure what kind of plastic the inside of the refrigerator is made of. I am worried the crack will grow longer if I do not repair it. It is a Fridgidaire and so far it is not affected by the crack. What should I do?

In case anyone else comes across this old post, cracks in fridge plastic can be repaired, look for plastic or epoxy repair kits, easy to do.
A crack as described above does not impact the functionality of the fridge and certainly wouldn't result in gas escaping as previous post suggested.

cant be repaired as the gas would of escaped and if pipe work inside been damaged have to throw it and buy new
