If it's like my hoover dryer then either i) turn off the power totally for 20 seconds, turn the dial to the setting you want, then plug in and start again or ii) while the dryer is tumbling - on cold - after a few minutes to let it get into its cycle, push and hold in the reset button. Hold the button until there is a series of beeps which then stop. Then press the start/stop button to turn off. The reset button actually stops a cycle instead of just interrupting it (if you just stop it or open the door) I had a completely flumoxed engineer on two visits before I sussed it out (read the manual!). He had no idea what to do. Even changed the electronic parts on the first visit.
