what is the problem with my heating?

When I turn my hot air on in my cavalier diesel,1700 T M REG I get a pungent smell and mist which causes my windows to mist over.

Hi,
Sounds like you have a leaky heater matrix. Are you putting water in your system, and getting damp floor carpets?
