How do you replace the power cord of the Hoover Supreme Wind Tunnel?

I am trying to replace the power cord, but I cannot figure out how to get to the place where the power cord connects to the vacuum. The vacuum is the Hoover Supreme Wind Tunnel Model U5445-9000, Series M 12.0. On the front of the vacuum it says: Mach 3.3. It looks like EVERYTHING has to taken apart to do it !!

There is a shortcut you can take with these Hoover's.
Use a flat screw driver and pry the strain relief (part that holds the cord on the machine) out of the body of the vac, along with the cord. Pull enough cord out, so you have enough to work with, then take the strain relief off of the old cord, and cut the old cord off. Rewire the new cord to the end of the existing cord with small wire nuts. Press strain relief onto new cord and push new cord into the body of the vac.
