Indesit WIA111 wash mach not finishing cycle???

My washing machine empties, spins, etc but wont finish a cylce, it fill up and just goes round and round for hours and hours. I have to unplug for a while then move to rinse then unplug then move to spin. Have checked for blockages etc...

This problem is almost certainly caused by a faulty heating element. To prove this, try the machine on a cycle with the temperature control set to cold and it should finish a cycle.
