I just fixed mine-they won't start from 3 different things-
Check the latch switch-wiring will look scorched
Check the cord-some have fuses or just defective
Defective timer-can only be replaced not repaired
Check to make sure all circuits have power-Om meter
On mine the cord burnt out from rubbing on the housing-it also smelled burnt last time it ran before malfuntion
