Some friendly git has forced the seat and broke the lock pin / latch from the seat on my sons Aerox R. I have fitted back with a little help from heat and persuation, but now the key does not fit in the ignition. I understand the seat lock mechanism connects to the ignition, but could forcing the seat affect the ignition this way.
Please help as I am a personal taxi again.

yes. check the cable is not snagged and moves freely. otherwise could need a new lock barrel.
