hi where is the starter motor located on a corsa b 1,0l?

Hi,
I can't tell you exactly, but it'll be a heavy duty looking cable that attaches to the solenoid and the battery earth. Look at the earth strap from the engine to the chassis as well.

hi ken
yeh the starter motor came with a solenoid
i have gone down to a garage today and asked him what he thinks, and he said the earth wire/lead might be damaged, do you know where it is located
cheers

Hi,
If memory serves, the solenoid is mounted on the motor itself. If you have just changed the starter motor you probably already changed the solenoid over onto the replacement, so just repeat the process with a new solenoid. If your new starter came with a solenoid fitted then at least you can probably rule that out as a cause.

Hi,
Usual culprits are, battery, cables and leads, starter solenoid. If you put a meter across the battery you will see if it's ok and leads need to be clean at the point of contact. Not just the battery leads but the earth straps etc to the engine, starter and so on.
