i have a t-reg and it was working fine till the other day and when i try to start it it just makes a spinning noise it does spark but it sounds like its not spinning the wheel were the belt fits

You can take the alloy casing that covers the drive belt off to have a look (don't worry , its dry in there , no oil). If the flywheel is turning )(so will the belt be). In this case it might be lack of compression to ignite the fuel, in which case it could be a blown head gasket.
