Kenmore Dishwasher has started leaving a cloudy film on the dishes?

I have a Kenmore Ultra Dishwasher that is around ten years old. Recently, it has began to not rinse properly. At least I think that is the problem. The dishes, which is really noticable on the glasses, have a cloudly film on them. The washer appears to be heating, because the dishes are warm whenb it is finished, and we use the preformed soap cubes from eletricsol so we are not putting in too much soap. Any Ideas??

The water is not hot enough. Run the hot water in the kitchen sink until it come out hot, before starting the dishwasher. Other wise you will need to have the dishwashers heating element tested. it may be faulty.

We are having the same problem as you. Same ten year old dishwasher. We thought it just needed the rinse agent, but that did not help. We are trying to run a cup of white vinegar through it right now. Have you found an answer yet? We were thinking that the internal filter needs to be cleaned, but we are not the original owners and do not have the manual for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. curtaze@sympatico.ca
