My Belkin54g is at the moment unsecured. Can I make it password secure without uninstallng it & reinstalling?

Yes, 192.168.2.1 is the address to enter into your browser to access the settings in the router.
best to make changes with ethernet cable linked, because if you lose the wireless link during settings, you may end up having to reset everything.
